What Not to Eat
As you probably read last week, I wrote about what exercises to avoid if you have Parkinson’s. In the week since that post, I have received a lot of questions about what food to avoid if you have Parkinson’s. Believe it or not, the answer to this is related to what exercise is to avoid.
As a reminder in last week’s post, I concluded that, despite efforts of some to get you to buy a car rather than exercise, any exercise you can do safely is good exercise.
A quick review of the literature available indicates that people with Parkinson’s should avoid highly processed foods, foods high in saturated fats and cholesterol, and sugary drinks.
In other words, any restaurant with a drive-thru is one you and your Ford should avoid.
